What Suzanna Is Fighting For

Suzanna Pavelle is running so families in District 19 can afford to stay here, protect what makes Northeast Florida home, and count on strong public schools that help the next generation thrive.

These issues are connected. When costs rise, growth is poorly managed, and public schools are weakened, families lose stability, trust, and opportunity.

Affordability

Affordability is the front door to this campaign because families cannot build a future in District 19 if they cannot afford to stay here. That means homeowners insurance, utility bills, and whether working families, seniors, and first-time homeowners can still afford the communities they helped build.

Suzanna will fight to:

  • Make lowering homeowners insurance costs a top priority
  • Support practical steps that reduce flood risk and protect property
  • Stop shifting the costs of growth onto current residents

Smart Growth, Water, and Natural Heritage

Northeast Florida is growing. The real question is whether that growth will be managed responsibly. Suzanna believes growth must protect clean water, respect infrastructure limits, and preserve the natural heritage that makes this region special, not shift more costs and risks onto the people who already live here.

Suzanna will fight to:

  • Require infrastructure to keep pace with major development
  • Protect wetlands, waterways, and conservation land
  • Defend local communities from legislative overrides of local planning

Health Care Access

Health insurance should be there when families need it. Too many Florida families are dealing with coverage uncertainty, broken state systems, and the fear of falling through the cracks when care is already hard enough to afford.

Suzanna will fight to:
– Protect access to care for children, seniors, and working families
– Fix broken state eligibility and customer-service systems so families can actually get answers and keep coverage
– Explore practical, market-based solutions, including an Arkansas-style private option, if it can expand access and work better for Florida families

Public Education

Public schools are the backbone of strong communities. Families need to know their children can get a strong education close to home. When Tallahassee weakens neighborhood schools, students, parents, teachers, and the long-term future of our local economy all pay the price.

Suzanna will fight to:

  • Fund neighborhood public schools first
  • Support competitive teacher pay and strong learning environments
  • Require accountability for every school receiving taxpayer dollars

Freedom, Dignity, and Belonging

I believe everyone deserves the freedom to live, love, and build a happy life without fear. LGBTQ people deserve dignity, safety, and equal respect, and I will always stand against efforts to bully, scapegoat, or marginalize any community. That includes pushing back on bills like SB 1134, which can be used to undermine local inclusion efforts and make people feel less welcome in their own communities. Our politics should protect people’s freedom and make every person and family feel safe and valued.

One Fight for District 19 Families

These issues all come back to one question: can families build a stable life here and trust that government is on their side?

Suzanna is running to lower the costs people feel, protect the places people love, and strengthen the schools families need with practical leadership and local accountability.
