Florida Democratic Agricultural Caucus endorses Suzanna Pavelle for Florida House District 19
The Florida Democratic Agricultural Caucus (FDAC) has endorsed Suzanna Pavelle for Florida House District 19.
FDAC notified Pavelle of the endorsement on September 22, 2026. The caucus’s accompanying press release says the endorsement followed her responses to its candidate questionnaire and was issued ahead of the November 3 general election.
The questionnaire covered:
- Rural communities and Democratic participation
- Food security and protection of productive farmland
- Family farms and agricultural businesses
- Farm labor
- Invasive pests and diseases
- Environmental standards and water quality
- Climate change mitigation and resilience
- Agricultural research and innovation
- Agency appointments and staffing
- Amendment 2 and agricultural equipment taxation
Pavelle’s submitted responses agreed with FDAC’s perspective across the ten required topics. Her custom response on invasive pests supported innovative pest-control methods that avoid chemicals harmful to land, air, water, and animals. On agricultural innovation, she added that when public funds support research, the public should receive a meaningful return rather than private businesses receiving all of the benefits.
The Florida Democratic Party lists the Florida Democratic Agricultural Caucus as a statewide party caucus and identifies Dr. John Capece as its president. Capece signed FDAC’s endorsement notification and press release.
The endorsement places agriculture, rural communities, food security, farm labor, farmland preservation, and water quality among the issues discussed in connection with Pavelle’s campaign for the Florida House.
