About the endorsement
Suzanna Pavelle’s campaign for Florida House District 19 has been endorsed by the Sierra Club for the November 3, 2026 general election.
The endorsement recognizes Pavelle’s commitment to protecting Florida’s environment and to promoting policies that protect clean water, wetlands, natural lands, and the long-term health of local communities.
For District 19, environmental protection is not an abstract issue. It is connected to the water families drink, the wetlands and waterways that help protect communities from flooding, the cost of infrastructure, property insurance, and whether growth pays its fair share.
Protecting clean water and natural heritage
Pavelle’s campaign has made clean water, smart growth, and local accountability central to its platform. She supports stronger protection for wetlands and waterways, fully funding conservation programs, and restoring the ability of local communities to make responsible environmental decisions.
She has also emphasized the need to connect environmental policy to the practical concerns families face. When development moves ahead without adequate water, wastewater, stormwater, road, and evacuation infrastructure, the costs do not disappear. They shift onto residents.
Responsible growth requires accountability
Growth is coming to St. Johns and Flagler counties. The question is whether it will be planned responsibly or whether residents will be left to pay for decisions made without sufficient infrastructure or public accountability.
As a candidate for the Florida House, Pavelle is running to fight for infrastructure before development, science-based environmental policy, protection of Florida’s natural heritage, and a stronger voice for the residents who live with the consequences of growth.
That means listening to residents, scientists, conservation advocates, and local experts; supporting policies that protect water quality and wetlands; and making sure developers pay the documented costs their projects create instead of shifting those costs to working families.
A commitment to District 19
Suzanna Pavelle is proud to receive the Sierra Club’s endorsement. She will continue working toward a safer, more affordable District 19 where responsible growth and environmental protection go together.
Healthy communities prosper when clean water, natural lands, reliable infrastructure, and accountable government are treated as essentials, not afterthoughts.
